Fourth of July at Our House

July 3, 2021

Okay so it was ACTUALLY July 3, but close enough. Saturday, the Ronas crew came over, we pitched two tents in the backyard and prepared for a sleepover. Mike bought fireworks, Charles brought some over (it's his favorite holiday) and we had dinner and hang outs waiting for it to get dark. It's always fun hanging with our friends! Kara and Byron came too, Adalynn chose her for the evening and we enjoyed the company and Mike and Charles "okay" firework show ;) Everyone except me and Baa slept in the tents. We preferred our creature comforts!

Hoekstra/Ronas Family Trip - Grand Junction

June 11-14, 2021

We had to skip a summer but this year we were able to get together again and do our double family vacation with our favorites! Mike found this place in Grand Junction, with a small beach and pontoon to rent for a long weekend in June. The house was a little strange but comfortable and we had lots of things to keep us busy! Hien and Baa did a lot of great cooking (I helped a little!), and we even made a small trip to South Haven one afternoon. Of course we did a day of boating and lots of swimming. The girls had a blast! Where to next year?!

Memorial Day Weekend at Crystal Mountain

May 29-31, 2021

In a slightly last minute move, we were able to get a room at Crystal Mountain and hang out for Memorial Day weekend! Lots of food, adventuring and even some swimming made for a pretty fun time!

Northern Exposure Camping Trip

May 2021

Late in May, we got to go camping with Poopah, Grammy, Auntie and Byron up in Mesick at Northern Exposure. While we had to sleep in tents, the girls got to stay in the camper with Grammy and Poopah. It was a little rainy that weekend, and could have been warmer but honestly, it wasn't bad and we had some good fun!
