This little baby had a big week! First of all, Mike and I got a chance to FINALLY try her out on cereal. She got the idea, and though we definitely did not mix the cereal thin enough, it was kind of fun letting her try it out. The faces she made were priceless (see the next post for more). Even more exciting, yet more stressful too, was poor Julie's first tooth has finally made an appearance. She kind of went a bit where it didn't seem to be bothering her as much, but it came back with a vengeance in the last few days and we found the tooth (well, Mom did while Julie was ferociously trying to gnaw her finger) on Sunday morning. I am pretty sure I see another trying to come through (both the two bottom front teeth), so it's a bit rough on the little lady. She's really into SCREAMING this week too, so hopefully once those teeth get going, she'll be feeling better and less screechy!!!
Love you, little Baby, I hope your mouth gets better really soon!

Visiting Saugatuck
May 24, 2015
Mike hasn't wanted to make sure to get Julie used to exploring the world (generally, just getting out there and exploring new places) so we decided, since Mom was in town, and Kara and Branden wanted to do something, that we would all go to Saugatuck, somewhere we really haven't been before. It's got a cute little downtown, and though, really all we did was wander around and look at a few shops, we had fun, and Julie got to do some exploring too. We even got rained on and Daddy showed Julie the boats and yachts. What a fun time she had!

My First Food
May 21, 2015
Little baby Julie got to try some "real" food for the first time this week. Dr. Cain gave us the go-ahead at her four month appointment, but until now, we just hadn't gotten around to it. First mistake, we didn't mix the rice cereal up quite thin enough. I told Mike it was too chunky, and of course that didn't work out for Julie... she gagged a bit a couple times and scared me. But she was fine and honestly, I think she was kind of impressed with the whole thing. She knew just what to do when the spoon went toward her mouth :) Here is her first food adventure, in photos!

Julie - Week 20
May 21, 2015
I'm a little late in posting this week. I'm on my second stomach concern of the year. What the heck? However, this time, so far (fingers crossed!), Julie and Mike haven't gotten anything yet. I sure hope they don't, because this is bad enough. I'm not entirely sure it wasn't just something I ate because I don't feel nearly as bad as the last time, just keep having fun "symptoms" which is as far as I will go.
This week, Julie decided to want to start sleeping on her belly. It's making it hard for me not to check on her constantly. And this morning, she woke up annoyed about it at 5am. Oh Julie, you little grub. Lucky I love you! On to the VERY small selection of photos for this week. She wasn't in the mood and we lost the light by the time we got to it. We'll do better on week 21! I promise.

Bebe - Week 19
May 12, 2015
My first Mother's Day was this week. We went to church, had lunch with Charyl, and then Mike kindly agreed to watch Julie for a few hours so I could get some work done. I feel kind of bad that's how I wanted to spend my day, but I'm getting so far behind from playing with my munchkin instead, that I needed it. We only did that for a little while and then went to wish Lenore a Happy Mother's Day too for dinner so it all worked out :)
I'm still concerned about my health. Still can't figure out what's wrong. I have something we are monitoring but it won't be until the end of the month that we know anything. Stressful. At least I have my Julie. I am so thankful for that beautiful little face and her pretty smiles!

Tulip Time in Holland
May 1 and May 9, 2015
Grandma Patti and Great Grandma Wanda were visiting to watch Julie while Mike and I went to Chicago a few weekends back so we all decided to go see some of the tulips in Holland. Tulip Time, the annual festival was getting started the next day, but we went before all the crowds would show up! It was a little chilly so we had Julie in her pretty coat and got some cute flower photos with her. We also had dinner at the Alpen Rose and Julie was such a good girl :)
We also went to Holland again the next weekend with the Lewis's. It was a much colder and wetter day, sadly, so we didn't get many cute photos. Although we did have a yummy lunch at New Holland Brewery, we left a little early because it was damp and we didn't have a good warm hat for Julie (bad mommy!) and she didn't want to stay in her warm car seat/stroller. But I did manage to get a few cute tulip photos of little Puss!
