Julie - Week 25

June 23, 2015

Baby Julie is ALMOST a 6 month old! So exciting. Time is flying but not too fast yet, thankfully. I love watching her learn things. Playing on her own is one of the newer things that I'm enjoying! She still likes to be held. She even puts her arms up when she cries to be held. Good work, Julie, you get the idea ;) We got to play with Ellie a little bit this week. She came over for photos (she was great!) and Julie didn't really want to cooperate to be in photos with her but otherwise, they had fun. We also celebrated Grandma 'Nore's birthday on Friday with lunch at Founder's. Yummy! And Julie enjoyed sitting by the rolled up garage doors and watching the outside. We attempted some six month photos at the studio. I think they turned out all right but I haven't worked on them yet :)

This week, we are going to the UP! Grandma, Mom and Aunt Kim are already there. Kara and Dad will be there Friday and we'll get there tomorrow. We're going up to see Dad and hopefully take Julie swimming tonight. Since she has swim classes soon, I hope she doesn't mind it! We shall see. I can't wait, there should be lots of fun stuff to post next week.

For now... 25 weeks! Very happy lady!

Jules - Week 24

June 16, 2015

We are learning that Julie likes to fight going to sleep. Usually at night it's not TOO much trouble. And she sleeps all night so again, not complaining, but she sure isn't into napping. I thought she would have developed a schedule and do two long naps by now, but she's so busy and wants to see everything, it's not easy! We'll keep working on that!

This was a busy weekend for Julie. First of all, she went to her first graduation open house. Her cousin, Garret (Trish's son), graduated this year and we were there for a few hours. We met Kassei's daughter, Riley, who wasn't too interested in Julie, but Julie thought she was pretty neat anyway. Then after church on Sunday, we went to play with Miss Ellie. Josh, Angie, and Mike and I were playing Settlers of Catan and the girls were having a bit of fun together. This is the closest we've had to getting Julie to actually play with another baby. Ellie is the most interested in her of all the babies she's met so far. I like it because they will definitely be good friends. We had a rough time getting them to sleep for a bit but all in all it was fun!

Oh, and Julie and Ellie will be taking swim lessons together starting in August!

Our outfit this week is in honor of the first day of summer happening before our next photo shoot. Hooray for SUMMER!

Playdate with Miss Ellie

June 14, 2015

Julie has visited lots of friends before, but this was the first time she really got to try to play with one for a length of time. Little Ellie is just a little under 3 months older than Jules, so she can sit up and jump better, but she couldn't have been happier to have a little friend to look at and smile at and share her fun toys with. Julie, as usual, was very serious about the whole thing but she enjoyed some Ellie play time. There will be much more to come!

The moms and dads were playing Catan for most of the visit, after we got those darn girls to sleep, but we did some quick photos of the little ladies in their church dresses. We could NOT get them to smile at the same time. Seriously, if one was smiling (usually Ellie), the other quit. And on the few occasions when Julie decided to crack a smile, Ellie quit! Oh  you babies. I did get a cute tongue out photo and one where Julie sort of smiles with Ellie. So adorable anyway!

Oh and these two are totally signed up for swimming lessons together in a month and a half. AWESOME.

^Well, hello, little friend!

^Julie is sort of smiling... success...?

^Such sweet ladies.

^Now Julie wants to smile and Ellie doesn't.

^Switch... you gooses.

^Tongues out!

^Julie wasn't feeling the tummy shots, and then Ellie poked her in the face. Hahaha.

^Bounce!!!

^Ellie bounce!

^Sweet bebes! We love you!

Bebe - Week 23

June 9, 2015

My best baby is so big! And she even showed me her teeth for this week's session. So exciting! She was so happy. It seems that though she still is having the occasional teething ouchie that she's feeling better. Grandma Charyl says she seems more herself. This week, Mommy and Daddy celebrated their second anniversary, so Julie is sporting Mommy's garter belt for her headband. Not weird, since it's so perfect! I may use the other one (since I never did the toss) sometime too! Such a sweetie. She spent the night with Grandma Nore and Grandpa Mike this weekend when we went to the Amway for our anniversary. It was a fun time but of course I missed my baby. She was very good, spent lots of time outside and had fun with Grandma and Grandpa!

We also went to Olivia's first birthday. I can't believe she's "1" already, but then again... Julie's almost 6 months old too!

^She likes to stick her bottom lip in. Silly Jules.

^She was very cheerful for these photos!

^Yay, showing off her teeth!

^Silly baby.

Happy 1st Birthday to Olivia

June 7, 2015

The day before little Miss Olivia (aka Puss!) turned "1", lots of her family and friends got together to celebrate her one-ness. Though it was a little rainy, it was still a fun day and we got to see Donna's new house in Schoolcraft too... I'm excited to go visit again and hang out when there are less people around. Anyway, as usual for Julie's first time at places, she was very straight faced and serious, but still a very good girl. She met a few other babies, who didn't seem to want much to do with her, but lots of big people who did! And she and Puss even got to hang out for a bit after Puss did her cake and presents. Fun days!

^Lots of fun décor for the party!

^Jules and the Huycks.

^Fun under the tent.

^Kids in the sprinkler. I had Julie's bathing suit but that would have required me to get wet. Nah...

^Love Donna's new house!

^Puss visiting her guests.

^Yay, birthday!

^SMASHED!

^Big brother Declan steals some frosting.

^Me and my Bebe.

^Presents for Puss.

^The Lewis family.

^Julie is kind of grabby.

^Favorite!

^Puss (who doesn't like the grass) gets grabby back!
