Eight Months

Looking at these, I can't believe how big baby Julie is getting! She's got lots of teeth, is trying to learn to chew already, starting to attempt to walk. My goodness, and she has NO FEAR! This is not a good thing, I know another little one without fear (Mr. Logan Welmerink) and he's such a daredevil. He loves her already, so I guess he's rubbing off on her already. Julie - Week 34

Nobody was home to keep little Julie still for her photos this week so I had to make it quick. She still loves her photo taken, but she's often not willing to sit around waiting for it. She still knows to smile big and often she squeals a lot. It's so cute. Anyway, she's got a sweater on because there's a cold snap going on this week. Starting Sunday, it got chilly so we decided to dress accordingly! It's still August and I hear the warm weather is on it's way back (good!) but we know what's coming. I'm already making big plans for the fall for more Julie adventures.

This weekend, Julie saw her boyfriends, Logan and Mason. We went for a walk in Rockford, had some ice cream at Rocky's, saw the dam and ate dinner at the Corner Bar. Mmmmm, hot dogs. The boys had fun running around and Julie enjoyed getting out, as she does. The next day was Sophia's 3rd birthday party. It was supposed to be at a park but it was raining and storming so they moved it to Jester's Court up toward Alpine. We weren't there long but it was a fun place. Julie got to play in the baby area. Daddy had her practicing crawling over obstacles. She did a few face plants but enjoyed herself anyway :)

Sassafrass - Week 33

This nickname will probably last the weekend but today Julie gave me her first sassy look so I told her she was a Sassafrass. She's so sweet, even if she does tend to gouge, pinch and squirm a lot. Crawling like crazy, getting into stuff, going to her first wedding, it's getting busy to be a baby Julie. She went and saw Brian and Jeanette get married in the crazy heat and then went home with Grandm and Grandpa to find some air conditioning. She also got to swim a LOT this weekend. What fun! All six teeth are showing now and who knows what's next!

Brian & Jeanette's Wedding

My good buddy, Brian, has finally tied the knot. And with a wonderful lady named Jeanette. I remember thinking when I first met her that Brian had finally hooked himself a good one! They seem perfect for each other so I'm super happy for them! Anyway, Mike, me, Julie, Mom and Dad went to their wedding on Saturday in St. Louis. It was ungodly hot and was in a place without AC so that was rough but it was still a good time. Julie, Mom and Dad left early to beat the heat, but Mike and I stuck it out until 10pm. Good times, despite feeling like we may catch on fire at any moment ;)

Julie: Week 31 & 32

Mommy is getting a little lax on keeping up with the weekly Julie blog! I still have four more months to do til Julie is "1"! That's okay, I HAVE been keeping up on her book so that helps. Julie has officially mobilized. Between last week and the week before (31 and 32), it's amazing how much better she is. She's not flopping anymore but really moving on those knees. She can pull up too, and now she has SIX teeth! The top two finally came in, although they aren't quite all the way through. She's going to look different when they get more prominent.

Julie had her first swimming lesson, as seen in the last post. We've been to three now, and she and Ellie love it. They aren't really going to be able to swim but it's definitely a fun activity and will get them to love the water. We visited the new outlet malls and got to play with friends in the past few weeks, even went swimming with Madi and Noah and their cousin, Heaven, at their house. Auntie Kara is living with us for a bit and she's been watching you too, which is great. You guys are buddies!
