Eggs and Easter

March 25, 2016

Grandma Charyl came over to color eggs on Good Friday. It's still a little complicated for a 15 month old, so Julie sat in her high chair and watched us. We did give her an egg to hold but she bashed it. We also got paint all over our hands, so the choice to keep Julie from doing it herself one more year was probably a good one ;)

^Wouldn't wear her bunny ears :P

March 27, 2016

Julie slept in a bit on Easter morning so I was able to get ready for church. Good deal, so we had more time for fun. She was excited to get into her basket. She got a few books and a stuffed stegosaurus from the Easter bunny. Then we got her a couple adorable outfits that we can take photos in this spring. We hunted a few eggs and she got the idea, pretty impressive there ;)

We went to church and then to Grandma Charyl's with Aunt Jackie and Uncle Rick for lunch. Lunch was a little later than she's used to so she fell asleep in her seat! She napped while we ate but didn't sleep long and was kind of a crab. But she was still cute (aside from her temper tantrums!). Charyl got her a bowl and spoon and rolling pin (which kept making her mad for unknown reasons even though she loved them) and a few stuffed friends and such.

After that we went to visit Grandma Nore, Grandpa Mike and Uncle Nick. We got to play outside for awhile. Nick loves playing with his little baby ;) Julie also got some blueberry ice cream and blueberry pie. Mmmmm. She was a little angel there even without extra sleep. Whatever, Jules!

^Happy morning baby!

^Not interested ;)

^Good hunting, Jules!

^Wouldn't wear the bow ;)

^Coloring before church.

^Awwww so sweet!

^She's getting decent at sharing now.

^Angry!!!

^Having fun dragging Uncle Nick around outside.

Dear Julianna

Dear Julie

I can't believe how big you are getting. How much you've changed but also how exciting it is to watch you change and grow! This past couple weeks, it just seems like you are learning so much. We've finally moved you up to a big girl car seat, and you've been learning to repeat and say so many new words. My personal favorite is "Oops!". I don't think you know what it means but it's adorable to hear you say it. You now know how to play peekaboo with us "Peek.... boo!" which is adorable of course, and you are getting to be more and more of your own person, with your own opinions. You've been like that for awhile but that personality just keeps developing more and more everyday.

You are funny. You are such a good eater. You have an attitude. You have a silly and sweet "bulldog" smile. You laugh like you really mean it. You scream like you mean it, too. You are so fun to get up in the morning when you want your blanket to be in the first hug right there with you. You are amazing.

I can tell the toddler years are going to be a little tricky at times, but I'm so excited to see what you'll do next. We have so many more adventures to go on, and with the springtime, I know that we'll have so many more things to do very soon. I can't wait!

I love you!

Mommy (which you still refuse to say ;)

Swim Lessons... Again!

March 5, 2016

Though we've ALREADY missed two classes, Julie and Ellie are enrolled in swimming class at the Kroc Center again this spring. Julie had to miss a couple due to illnesses but we've made it to two of them now and hopefully we will be able to make the next two as well. Anyway, Julie, Ellie, Mike and Josh all got to play in the pool for the first class Julie made it to (Ellie's second). They've got a different teacher and are doing a lot of different things this time around. They are also a little more leery of the water this time, but they still are enjoying themselves some, I think!

^Learning to crawl out of the pool. She just wants the frog.

^Not that Julie doesn't but Ellie likes to lap the pool water ;) hehe

^Strong girls!

^Don't like the backstroke!

^Slide time!
