Ballet Class for All!

Julie was getting anxious to do dance again and now that Laina is old enough, we made sure to get them in this spring. The both had a blast. Julie was in the ballet/tap class for the first time and this was Laina's first rodeo in general, so we had lots of fun. Julie's class was private for the kids until the last one so for it, I brought my camera. Grandma Nore, Grandpa Mike, Grandpa Ron, Grandma Charyl, Aunt Jackie, Daddy and I were all there to cheer them on. Too many people watching probably made it a little worse than usual but it was still fun to watch.

Friends (with Ellie and Simon)

The Moe kids needed a photo update, so we met them at the studio for some! They got a few good shots and I got a couple of my girls with them too. Then we went over to play at aunt Angie's house, and that gave Mom a bit of time to come back and do some newborn photos. Win win for everyone!

Goat Mini Sessions

A fellow photographer owns goats, and every spring she does baby goat mini sessions. This year, we were IN! Of course it was not a very nice morning but Theresa was able to get a few great shots of the girls with the baby goats. Allie and Adalynn were less cooperative but it happens. Laina was the the star of the show, giving the goat hugs and kisses all over the place ;)

Mommy Adventure #2 - Pre-Tulip Time

It was dreary and cloudy and a little cold but we decided to go out to Windmill Island Gardens the day before Tulip Time anyway. I like going before all the crowds show up! Grandpa Ron said he'd come with us girls so we picked him up and headed to Holland. We wandered around the Gardens, got kicked off the windmill tour (Laina was screaming...), and saw some tulips, though a lot were up yet due to the chilly spring. We grabbed a couple quick souvenirs at the gift shop after playing on the playground and riding the merry-go-round and then had a strupwaffel snack on the ride home :)

Mommy Adventure #1 - St. Joe's

With the weather getting warmer and my illness anxiety slowing abating, I decided that my free Fridays would be devoted to doing some fun little activities with the girls, when possible. I couldn't wait for our first outing. I even took the girls all by myself! We started out heading south to St. Joseph. We stopped at Silver Beach Pizza for lunch and the girls played with some pizza dough and scarfed some pizza. Then we made a run for a cookie at a bakery nearby. Last but not least, we went to the Silver Beach Carousel at Shadowland. It was pretty fun, even though Laina was being really nervous about it. They both got an annoying souvenir so they were happy, anyway ;)
