Honeymoon: Maui or Oahu?

How do we decide?!?

I think we've finally picked a destination for our honeymoon. I've wanted to go here from the beginning but I think Mike is finally on board too. It's a little pricier but man, I'm sure it's worth it because Hawaii is just so amazing! We're going to go to either Oahu or Maui, but we can't decide which. We have two packages from our travel agent that are about the same price, so now we just have to choose.

First of all, there's Oahu. The biggest cities and the most people are on Oahu, as well as the memorial at Pearl Harbor. We'd stay away from the cities at the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore, but we are getting a car so we can still come back to the city to see the sites. There's lots to do and see here.

Then there's Maui. My mom and sister went there and I THINK Mom said she liked it better than the Big Island a bit, and I hear it's a great place to honeymoon as well. There's tons of things to see and do here too, and with a car, that will be easier as well.

We can do a lot of things we'd love to do (go hiking/exploring, whale watching, fishing, snorkling, horseback riding, etc.) on both islands. And I'm sure they are both gorgeous. How in the world are we going to pick?!?!

Yesterday, I asked our travel agent, Kristen Bailey of Travel Bug LLC, to check about adding an extra day to the Maui trip and low and behold, the trip's price had gone down by $600!!! So we are going with Maui!Yay!!! I really can't wait to be there, it's so gorgeous, I can tell. And there's go to be so much to do, we should really stay for two weeks... :)
