Birthday Girl Adventures

December 30, 2015

Julie didn't have a whole lot to do on her birthday. She already got a ton of presents and such, but we did want to do something fun for her first birthday. The original plan was to go swimming but what we did instead was fun too (we went swimming the following Saturday, so good enough!).

First, I had to work in the morning, but I got off at lunchtime and met Mike, Charyl and Jules at Gravity for lunch. Not really a kid place but she's too little to care about that yet! She was such a good girl and then it was time to go to Fredrick Meijer Gardens. It was very cold out so we stuck to the inside. They still had their Christmas displays up and Julie loved looking at everything. We wandered around the greenhouses most, and then Julie made friend with a little guy playing with plastic bugs. She was mad when it was time to go.

Later on, Auntie Kara came over and we opened the couple presents we had held onto. More books and a big stuffed unicorn. And now we have a one-year-old to take on further adventures!

^She loves water so she was fascinated by the stream.

^Such a pretty set up in the greenhouse.

^Julie and Grandma have a birthday pretty close together.

^So many cool replicas.

^Walking with her daddy!
