Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad

December 2, 2016

Because you never know what to expect with the weather in December, we decided to make an early Christmas trip to Flint to see Crossroad Village and Huckleberry Railroad. I went here way back when I was in Girl Scouts and I thought of it last year for a fun Julie adventure but figured she was too little to care much about it. This year, she can walk much better and definitely enjoyed the trip. She was definitely a crab when we got there (although she was pretty interested in the train ride) but once we got some food in her (HANGRY BABY!), she was much more chipper and interested. All the Christmas lights were lots of fun to see and she got to ride the carousel as well. We even found some cool dinosaur cookie cutters for a souvenir. Grandma Nore and Grandpa Mike came along for the ride and helped get Julie to sleep when we needed it (on the way there AND back) so we had lots of fun. We'll have to go again someday!

^Pretty happy to be sitting on a polar bear or something.

^Intrigued, but still not sure about this snowman.

^The train ride was pretty awesome for Jules (and I didn't get nauseous, yay!)

^She though this was a "bunny hop"

^Loves riding horsies!

^This was an attraction when I was a kid too. Still very cool.

^She met Santa again. She didn't want to sit by him but she tolerated his presence anyway.

^Ridin'

^There's a baby belly in there somewhere!

^She was sure fired up on the first leg of the ride home. Fell asleep before too long ;)
