Wedding Season

One of the big reasons to keep my pregnancy secret right now is wedding season. Though the timing is actually pretty good for the most part, since I won't be having the baby until December, well after my season has ended, I'm still a little concerned about it. First of all, during the first trimester, there's always the chance for morning sickness and definitely I'm likely to get tired more often. The first wedding I have is next weekend, and luckily I've got Misty helping me, so she's definitely someone good to pick up the slack. We are also staying overnight which will be wonderful, but it's a 10 hour day (usually it's only 8 hours) so I'm worried, just a bit. Everything is right at that same place, so that may make things much easier. I've shot there before too, so I should have a good heads up on getting things done well. I've gotta worry a little, or it's just not me!

My next one is at the end of May, and it WAY up in the UP. It's one of my only destination type weddings, so it's kind of excited. Judi (who doesn't know my secret yet) is coming, and it will only be four hours worth of shooting on Thursday with lots of downtime before and after. I should be around week 9 by then, so hopefully I'm doing well. I'm also doing their reception a few days later, but it's another 4 hour gig, so I think I'll be all right!

It's nice to have someone in my boat to talk with. Lynell Shooks Miller (one of the girls I rent my studio from) is great in that she got pregnant last fall and I can bounce all my concerns off her. She has eased my mind at least once a day since Monday when I told her. She thinks I should be all right, so I'm feeling better about it.

I love wedding season, so I would hate anything to get in the way of it, even if it is my fabulous baby to be ;)
