Mike and I signed up for a three week childbirth class right at Metro Health (where Little Miss will be coming into the world!) and we went to the first one last night. It was pretty informative, and kind of scary (lots of talk about labor stages and pain and some not-so-fun things that will be happening during the process) but I'm glad to be taking the class. A lot of people say they never use the relaxation stuff (next week's class) and that it's not all that useful but having the information ahead of time at least makes me feel better about it all. Just going in completely blind (aside from those horror stories I keep trying not to hear) would be hard for me. And keeping Mike informed of the various things that might happen is handy as well! We also get to tour the hospital at the last class so that will be nice. I'm anxious to see what to expect in that realm as well.
In other news, baby is definitely kicking a lot (like last night during the class, kicking me in the liver the whole time!). She's getting more consistent with it, so it's kind of cool. Little flutters all day and lots of kicks at different times. It'll be strange after she's born, without that, I'm sure I'll miss it. Although if she gets much tougher, it's going to start hurting (already does in some places!) so we'll see.
I've also finally got a few belly photos. I've taken these two in the last two days. I'm getting big, and in the belly area, that's okay but I'm feeling like a house otherwise. And there's still a long way to go! 10 weeks left as of tomorrow. Yikes!
Oh, and just because I thought it was hilarious. The other night I had a dream that I was working on a movie set with some actors shooting a movie, one of whom was Robert Downey Jr. (not sure why him, but whatever) and he and I decided that I was going to leave Mike, and we were discussing how Mike could still be in the delivery room for baby and when I would call RDJ when I went into labor or whatever. Very random, and amusing :) The end.
