A bit of a rough week for my sweetie (and me!) this week. Julie started getting sniffly and snotty on Wednesday and it was pretty obvious she was getting her first cold. Yuck. I already felt like I had something coming on so I wasn't even careful about trying not to get it and I definitely am sharing it with her. We did get to go zip lining (without baby ;) for Auntie Kara's birthday (and Julie got to meet Alexa), but we had to cancel our trip to the apple orchard as it was just too chilly for babies with cold's to go outside too much. I had a quick wedding to photograph and then a reception to attend with Mike, but we ended up having to go home early because Grandma Nore and Grandpa Mike called and said Julie was having a rough time. They said she was grabbing her ear and screaming and so we picked her up. She was super happy to see us and settled down without trouble.
Other than a stop at the Hoekstra family reunion on Sunday, Julie's next adventure was to the doctor to check on those ears. Sure enough, she's got infection in both (though she never had a fever). We caught it in time to keep her from being in constant pain, though, so that's good. She's feeling better from her cold now too, so that's great. AND she slept all night for the first time in a week (Mommy is NOT used to that, and thus the tough part for me, other than seeing my sweetie sick). Hooray! It's good to be getting back to normal!
P.S. Though Julie is still good with the camera, taking weekly photos is starting to get more difficult. She's very busy and it's getting dark earlier. Going to keep it up, but there will probably be less than there used to be for the next 3.5 months!
