We got to go up to Harrison for the first time. Grandma Wanda came down to ride with us up there and keep and eye on Laina in the backseat. Julie didn't get a nap and was a crabby girl that day, but Laina slept the whole way. Despite the fact that I tried really hard to prevent it, Laina got Julie's cold (and me too!) but other than the occasional coughing and phlegmy throat, she was okay. She had a good time at Grandma and Grandpa's, even if Big Sister was quite a crazy one. She isn't super jealous, but seeing Grammy playing with the baby at all can be tough.
My birthday was while we were up there and we got to show Laina off to lots of family members who came over for cake and ice cream. Grandma and Grandpa Noseda came, as well as Aunt Kim, Aunt Mary and Uncle Larry. I also got to visit some of my friends while we were there, though I went without the kids, a nice little break for me! Got to meet Alan's girlfriend, Allyson, so that was cool.
Laina is already growing out of her newborn clothes. Especially the pajamas. We've had to upgrade to the 0 to 3 month size. Not sure when Julie did that, but Laina is on it now! She had her well-child appointment at has already gained two pounds and almost two inches too. Big girl! She's still in the 40th percentile for both though, so not too big.
To keep us all healthy a little bit longer, I kept Julie home from school and the week has been pretty good. She's much more calm at home and I'm getting used to juggling two kids at once instead of just one. Good deal :) However I still can't wait until spring so we can all go on some family adventures together.
