What a crazy weekend it was! We were all over the place and it was exhausting... though thankfully pretty fun at the same time. Laina decided to start sleeping on her belly (and she can roll from front to back AND back to front now... uh oh... mobility!) and her second tooth popped through without too much excitement, but then a big storm knocked out our power for THREE and a HALF DAYS! This was at 3am Friday morning. Our original plan was to go play at Ellie and Simon's house, so we did, even though they didn't have power either. Julie and Ellie played in the pool while little Laina just relaxed with me and Angie. Simon was taking a nap. Mike's cousin Amber was getting married Friday too, so the girls went to stay with Grandma Nore and Grandpa Mike. But Laina got to attend the wedding for a bit (Julie too, that little dancing queen!) and that would be her first one! It was fun. The next day with the power still out, we ended up at another hotel. Julie swam with Daddy in the hotel pool and Laina wanted to go in too, but we still have to wait a little bit longer, I think.
We spent most of the day with Hien, Charles, Allie and Adalynn. The big girls (including mommies!) went in their pool for a bit. Laina napped on the table in the shade. Sleepy Lu. Allie and Julie fell asleep on the outdoor furniture. I had to leave early for a mom's night thing but Daddy got the little girls to bed nicely.
One thing I noticed this week is that Laina's hair is starting to come in! It took Julie forever (heck, we are STILL waiting) but it already looks like Laina's is filling in. And it's darker! I'm not sure if it'll stay that way, wouldn't be TOO surprised if it goes blonde too but I'm not sure because while Julie's eyebrows were always very very light, Laina's really stand out, brown. I guess we will just have to see. I would love it if she'd keep her pretty blue eyes but on that, time will tell also!
