Lainer: Week 23

July 5, 2017

I feel like it's been a pretty eventful week. Other than throwing both of you way off your schedules... I have learned a new trick with you waking up early! If giving you the pacifier back multiple times stops working, I just get you up and change your diaper, then go lay on the couch and cuddle you back to sleep. As long as I can get comfortable, I can sleep too! I did it twice over our long holiday weekend. It probably won't work on the weekdays but at least on the weekends...

The end of last week and the start of your next week, we had lots going on. I did Kasen's newborn photos, although you didn't get to meet him yet. You went to Grandma and Grandpa's instead so I could be sure to be able to get everything done. After that, we went to dinner with the other grandparents at Monelli's and then they offered to keep you and Julie overnight. I wasn't sad about it, except then I didn't get a chance to see you before I left for my wedding. But we made up for it for the next three days! You did have fun on Saturday without me though. You guys went to Fredrick Meijer Gardens and Daddy made you some green bean baby food himself. You actually seem to like it better than any of the other stuff you've tasted so far!

Sunday we went to the beach at Yankee Springs with Auntie, we went to the mall and playground on Monday (since Mom and Dad had the day off!) and got ready for fireworks. We decided to go see the show at the Gun Lake Casino. It took a long time to get there and find a spot but we found a decent one. We sat in the back of the truck to watch. I thought you  might stay asleep but you woke up when we got there. We cuddled you back to sleep so you missed the fireworks but it was still nice to see them as a family. Jules liked them but was over it pretty quick ;)

Tuesday was the 4th of July and that morning, I was playing with you and you tried to "eat" my nose. I felt a tooth! Your first tooth has finally come through! I think the second bottom one is right behind it too. I bet it's out within the week. We spent the morning at Whistlestop Park, where you and I fell asleep in a chair under a tree. It was awesome. So relaxing and perfect. And sweet cuz I got some Laina cuddles. After that we went to Grandma Charyl's to celebrate Aunt Jackie's 1 year rebirthday after her lung transplant. You got to meet a few new relatives, like Jake and Nick, and Aunt Penny.

It was a great weekend but we need to get you and Julie both back on schedule... it's getting rough ;) Mostly you roll with it but I think it's taking it's toll on Jules. We'll work on it, but the summer is just so much fun!!!

^Yay, you have a tooth! And you really haven't been all that fussy about it!

^Loving your comfy Vera Bradley outfit :)

^My sweetness.
