Byron Center was having a holiday parade, and although we didn't stay for that, we did go uptown to meet Santa and a few baby reindeer. As I suspected, Julie didn't cry at Santa. She just looked at him like "Hmmm, who is this interesting fellow?" Even Santa made a comment about how he was surprised that she didn't cry ;) The reindeer had horns (though one had a broken one) but they were just 8 months old, according to the lady who was there with them. Baby reindeer! Julie was interested, but not overly excited. It was chilly so we skipped the parade but got a little Santa experience and a quick visit with Grandma Charyl too :)
