I can't believe that it's already halfway through Laina's first year! Did I say that already? Either way, it's true. She's so big and getting her own personality. I'm impressed with her, and she still so fun to be around. This age was one of my favorites with Julie, too. Anyway, Julie, Lu and I went to McDonald's and the splash pad in Kentwood for an adventure. Laina chilled in her stroller while Julie ran around in the water. It was lots of fun. I can't wait until Lu can do that sort of thing too. That night, though, Julie started getting goobers in her eye and by morning, I was pretty sure she had pink eye. Mike took Laina to swim class (she did great!) and I stayed home with Julie. She was fine, and we got her some drops. She ended up with it in both eyes but that's okay, we have the drops!
I had a wedding in Detroit on Sunday so I had to leave my girls all day and night, and the next day. Laina stayed with Grandma Charyl and Grandpa Ron all night twice in a row. I feel bad, I haven't spent much time with my little Laina lately. But she's still always so happy to see me. Last night, Auntie came over to play so we were able to have some adventures at the house. We hung out outside awhile and such, and then BOTH girls went to bed so nicely... ahhhhh relaxing!
