Despite the warm weather, Julie came down with a cold on Friday. She proceeded to rub her face all over yours so by the next day, you were a sniffle baby too. Luckily it's just a little cold, not much more that a little coughing and some stuffy, snotty noses. I didn't even have to deal with it much because on Friday afternoon, I went with Auntie, Great Aunt Kim and Grandma Patti out to a beach house on Lake Michigan as part of Grammy's Mother's Day present. I missed you babies but Daddy had it all under control. Though being sniffly made it a little trickier than usual, I'm sure!
I saw you again on Sunday when we went to ride Gracie, a horse someone Mommy knows offered to let Julie ride. She loved it! After, we went to dinner which was challenging as you just were NOT happy most of the time. But we managed and Grammy and Aunt Kimmy got to meet Auntie's boyfriend, Byron. He's good people, as far as I can tell.
Despite the cold, you and Julie both have been sleeping pretty well. Not the BEST but not bad. You had a couple early morning wake ups. My LEAST favorite was 4:30am, especially since it took me until 5:30 (almost) to get you back to sleep. And then you were back up at 6:15! Sheesh, girl! But I still love that happy little face! You sure do hate to have your nose wiped though. You can get pretty mad too, just like your tantrum-prone big sister! Ahhhh, the joys of parenthood ;)
I have a wedding this weekend so I put you in the paparazzi shirt that my friend Misty gave me for Julie. She didn't get a lot of wear out of them so they are all yours :D Sometimes having hand-me-downs is like new, if the outfits didn't get a lot of use at the time!
