Yesterday, though feeling nauseous almost caused me to cancel, I attended what would be baby's first concert! Hopefully baby is a girl, because a boy might be embarrassed at mom's attendance at a boy band concert. Sorry either way, baby, because Mom has seen the Backstreet Boys five times now (once in middle school, once in high school, in Chicago while in college, and with NKOTB a few years back in GR) and will definitely plan on doing it again someday if the opportunity presents. I went with Ica, her sister, Jennie, and Jennie's friend, Amanda. We had lawn seats at DTE. I was worried that would be super uncomfortable, especially for me but it was actually pretty great!
Avril LaVigne, who is about our age now ("Sk8er Boi," what?!), opened for them. Thankfully she played mostly her older stuff that the audience could relate too. Though I'm not much of a fan anymore, it was fun. We enjoyed waiting for the main event to start and they played ALL the good old stuff and few new songs from "In a World Like This". We screamed and jumped and went a little deaf ;) Ica and I were really singing our hearts out, I think we impressed Jennie and Amanda with our skills ;)
I saw lots of preggers there with me! They were much more obvious than me! A great time, hopefully it wasn't TOO bouncy and noisy for my little one ;)

^My sort of bump. Most of this belly is bloaty-ness. There's something coming soon though, I think! |

^Singing "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely" (I'm pretty sure that's what it was!) |
