Dear Baby: Part Six

June 3, 2014

Dear Baby

Well, you're 10.5 weeks old in there today. I'll be honest, I'm surprised how even-keel my worries have been thus far, but I did get a little worried last night. It was a bad day, feeling really nauseous and unable to eat dinner (spaghetti, which I usually enjoy, even with baby belly barfiness), so maybe I was just a little low, but I was having some pains and I was worried that maybe you weren't doing so hot. I know we still haven't reached the safe zone, which I know is still not a guarantee but a point to feel better about, and even though I hadn't worried much yet, I was a little nervous. I said lots of prayers, because even though the pains weren't bad, they were a little different than usual. Luckily, they were pretty much all gone by morning, and I read on WhatToExpect.com that you are stretching out my insides quite a bit this week, so I felt better and I'm not too worried anymore. Aunt Oole said something similar happened to her, so even better.

On another note, I've been more queasy than usual it seems. Not sure why, although it is supposed to be a good sign, even if I don't like it! Anyway, thankfully Dr. Lown gave me that prescription for Zofran. Though I really don't like taking medications often, which is why I tried to fight through the barfy feeling yesterday, sometimes it's good to have. I have been tired but much better feeling today, and I'm grateful. I'm really looking forward to the natural energy boost and relief from queasiness that SHOULD be coming soon. Fingers are crossed that you are cool with this!

Stay in there and stay safe and healthy. Only three more weeks (God willing!) till we get to hear your heartbeat at the doctor's office!

MOM!
