Yesterday was Mike and my anniversary. We started celebrating by deciding not to get up until after 9am. Got a text from Oole wishing me a happy anniversary and right after, she called. It was sort of early for her and I thought that was weird but she told me she was working on an anniversary present. What might that be? Her BABY was deciding to come early! She was not due until June 28, so that's a good 20 days early but she started having labor pains around midnight the night before and the doctor told her to come in. Sure enough, her water broke at the hospital and it was time to get the show on the road.
She was doing well when I talked to her, nothing too crazy, no dilation yet and just a few contractions. I was promised that Andy would keep me updated throughout the day, which he kindly did. By 7:24pm, little Olivia Jean was here! She's pretty good looking so far! Looks like we'll have to move her newborn session up a few weeks, since she decided to come stay with us so early.
Since I've got so much editing to catch up on, I'm going to try to sneak out of work here a little early today so I can go meet her at the hospital tonight. I sure hope Gary says it's okay cuz I'm very excited. Yay! Here she is, a shot Andy posted of the little thing:
She looks a little like her big brother, I think :)
Oh and we also had a good anniversary! Won't ever forget little Olivia's birthday after her picking that particular day to show up!
