July 7, 2015
We are now closer to 1 year old than we are to Julie being born! That's so crazy, but I've really been enjoying it all this time. She's learning and turning into quite a fun little lady. She had a fun weekend in Harrison this weekend for the 4th of July. We went swimming with Grandpa, Grandma, and Daddy quite a few times and got to see the fireworks (even though she was up way past her bedtime!), wearing earmuffs, of course! We went to Aunt Mary and Uncle Larry's for the first time in years and it was a pretty good show. Julie watched them for most of the show.
We were supposed to go to see aunt Judi's new house, but she had a poop explosion before we left, leaving her car seat unusable until it was washed. But hanging out at the house was okay. She even took at 2.5 hour nap, which was kind of crazy! I hope that means she'll start being more regular on napping, but we'll see. We went to Putt'R'Golf on Sunday morning, and Julie watched us all ride the go karts. Mom said she thought it was so fun. Next year, she can probably ride with us! We headed home after a little more swimming and Julie slept pretty much the whole way home. Woo hoo! Beats the ride up (where she screamed most of the way). Oh, and last night, she started saying "Ma!". Mike's been trying to tell her to say Daddy for a week, but hey, I've been saying "Mama" to her for months, so even if it's early, I think that it counts now ;)
Julie also had green beans for the first time (the baby food version) this weekend, and today is her 6 month check up. What a busy baby we have. I put her in one of her cute camera outfits for photos this week because Mommy is restarting wedding season this weekend. Back to business. I'll miss my girl though!
