A big week for Julie! She had her 6 month check up. She is looking good! Right now, she's 17 pounds and 26 inches. Getting so big. She did pretty good for her shots too. The first didn't phase her, though the second was a doozy! She handled it well though and she rested so mommy could run to the store and we hung out all day at home after that.
On Thursday, we met Julie, Grandma Charyl and Grandpa Ron down in Holland for dinner at the Alpen Rose and watching the street performers. It was pretty fun. Julie had a good time watching all the people. We also found out that Grandma Charyl's cancer worries were all good as it turns out. That was on Friday, which was also the day we met some new friends. Julie and I went over to Cathy Finnie's house to meet her and her little one-year-old Henley. Lots of fun catching up with Cathy who I haven't seen since college! Henley was sleeping but when she got up, she was showing off her fun hair, sharing skills and newly learned walking abilities. Julie got pretty crabby around 5pm so we decided to go home, but it was lots of fun.
Mommy had to do a wedding on Saturday so Julie went to the zoo with Daddy and then got to see Grandma Patti, Grandpa Joe and Great Grandma Wanda. She gobbled some squash and got a nice bath, which I heard had a lot of splashing going on. I missed it but was glad she had a fun day. We all went to church on Sunday because Mike and I were making profession of faith and joining the church. And Julie was getting baptized! I was sad because Pastor Bob kept saying her name wrong, but it was pretty cool. She thought the water was weird and she had fun yelling a little bit and patting Pastor Bob's chin. Afterwards, everyone (except the Welmerink's) who were at the church came out to lunch at Monelli's. What a fun time for Julie, even though she got cranky after awhile ;)
