Laina Jae: Week 10

April 5, 2017

This year is going so fast already. Laina is already 10 weeks old. She's so fun to have around. It's definitely a challenge having two kids (case in point, the last two nights...) but still so fun. Julie really loves Laina, even if she did tell me she didn't want to bring her home with us earlier this week. The best way to get her up in the morning is to ask her if she wants to see Laina. Works every time! I hope they love each other that much as time goes on.

This past weekend, we went up to Harrison. I had to leave poor old Mr. Petey (who just turned 10 years old!) at home because the girls were at Mike and Lenore's and I knew I would be there for a bit and didn't want to leave him all cooped up all that time. We got up in the early afternoon and Julie was thrilled to see Grandma of course. Laina didn't mind either. Mom was kind enough to get up with her for me this weekend during the nights for me. Otherwise, she slept by me, and so did her sister the second night! It was a very cuddly night. Julie had fun riding the quad with Grandpa and Laina enjoyed lots of Grandma time. We all went for a walk on Saturday to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma Noseda and then go through the woods. Great Grandma Wanda visited a lot with the girls too. She always says how Julie looks like Mike (she was calling her Little Mikey) and that Laina looks like me. I don't see it but she's not the only one who's said it.

Laina still isn't sleeping all night yet. Even though she did it that one time, we've got a bit to go to get her there. It's hard normalizing a schedule for her. Much harder than last time. Thankfully though, she only gets up once a night. Sometimes a little too early in the AM, like today, but otherwise, it's not that bad. The other night, she and Julie made sure I didn't get much rest but I'm thankful we spent the whole week healthy and happy. Let's hope that continues! Laina is starting to bat at her toys when she "plays" and she's getting more interactive. And those smiles :D

^No big smiles for this session but lots of cute looks!

^Love this lady.

^Happy!
