Lu: Week 18

May 31, 2017

It was another week of learning for Laina. She's getting really good at grabbing and this week she found her feet. She's only somewhat aware of them, but she's grabbing them more and more. It makes getting her dressed a bit of a challenge! We went to Grandma Patti and Poopah's this weekend for Memorial Day weekend. Julie got to ride on the side-by-side and the quad, and Laina got to cuddle with Grammy a bunch. We saw a bunch of family members too, which is always nice.

Otherwise it was pretty uneventful on our end. Everyone is healthy and doing well, and Laina is working on her baby skills... she's pretty good a rolling over sometimes, but it's still a challenge. That arm is always getting in her way. A couple times though she did it when I wasn't expecting it. She wasn't too happy about that!

This coming week, we're going on a little trip with the Ronas's, so Laina is officially ready for summer! Check out her sweet sunhat!

Ballet 2.0

Julie and Allie did ballet for another session this past few weeks. It's fun to watch them though Allie doesn't really like to participate and Julie has trouble following directions and not just squealing and running around. She did pretty good this class, and Allie was a happy girl, and took part from the sidelines. Cute ladies ;)

Memorial Day Weekend 2017

It was an absolutely beautiful weekend this holiday weekend, we managed to get up to Mom and Dad's for awhile to enjoy it. It was full of riding the quad and the side-by-side (Dad's new toy), going to Putt'R'Golf and the park, a family BBQ and even swimming and marshmallow roasting! Check out all the fun Julie had. Can't wait until Laina can join in more too!

Fourth Month

May 25, 2017

Laina is four months old already. Wow does time fly! But she's now in the age where I'm not nervous about everything and where she starts to be more and more fun. She's still eating like a piggy, learning to grab (and thank God she likes the bird chair now!). She's in her crib, still sleeping all night and generally being a wonderful baby!

She's so fun to watch, she's learning and growing and still so sweetly adorable. I am hoping she'll be a calming influence on Big Sister someday. Otherwise we will definitely have a wild and crazy household! We'll see soon, her personality is just starting to come out!

Baptizing Elaina Jae

It was a tired sort of day but May 21 marked the day Laina was baptized! She wore the same dress I did and Julie did (and even Aunt Kim did!) when we were all baptized. She was also baptized by Pastor Bob Bolt, and then we had family and friends over to celebrate. The weather was a little iffy at first but it ended up being very nice and a fun day to spend outside.

We love our little Lu and she's so precious! Congrats to you Laina! We know God will do great things for such a sweet little girl in life.
