The outfits today will be the only time I will (purposely) have the girls wear the same thing in their weekly sessions. Julie wore this sometime in the summer of her first year. I forgot to do it at the right time but I popped it in before it was too late. It's their baptism outfit. I wanted both of them to wear it because it was the one I wore when I was a baby to be baptized in. Julie was baptized in July, so Laina will be quite a bit younger but we were also joining the church when Julie got to do it so it took a little longer. Laina is bigger than Jules at her current age so it's a good thing we are doing it now, the dress is already a good size on her.
Anyway, first things first... Laina got to sleep in her crib for the first time this week. I put it off a LITTLE bit because I had a feeling she would do pretty well. And of course she did. We have to wait until Julie settles down (which can take quite awhile these days) but then we put Laina in (she's going to bed around the same time as her sister of her own accord now) and she sleeps all night. Wakes up early usually but that's not too bad at least. I miss her by me but I'm starting to sleep a bit better for the most part.
This week I finally got to do Laina's 3 month session, which I already posted. It's a LITTLE late but with my schedule and everything that we've been up to, this was the soonest I could get us in the studio. Grandma Nore and Julie came to help. Laina was pretty cooperative, which was good as it was pretty hot in there and I was glad to get them done quickly. They aren't the BEST ever but they will do. She's cute either way so yeah ;)
Daddy's birthday was this weekend, and it was nothing too exciting but the girls went to spend the night with Grandma Charyl so we could hang out a bit. They had a good time, I guess they were at the park for over 2 hours! Luckily it was a beautiful day! On Sunday, we picked the girls up from the Vlasblom's, went to the Hoekstra's and had lunch there for Mother's Day. We hung out outside, Laina fell asleep on Daddy while Julie got dirty in Grandma Nore's planters. It was a pretty good weekend. Laina also hung out with Grandma Charyl for a bit in the evening while we got ice cream. I'm excited for when she can have some of her own. Not til next year though!
Julie-isms to note: When Julie doesn't want or like something she says "I can't" instead of "I don't" which sounds funny but adorable. "I can't like it!"
