Lainer Lainer Chicken Lainer: Week 17

May 24, 2017

It was the last week of Laina's 3rd month! She'll be four months old TOMORROW! Wow! She's starting some new things lately too... first of all, she's getting much better at grabbing. Though you can tell it's still a process in figuring out how her hands and arms work, she's definitely getting the hang of it. AND she's using this new skill to shove things in her mouth as I'm almost positive she's teething. Poor girl had a rough evening Sunday and a little trouble during the day with Grandma Charyl. But she's not letting it get her down too much. I bet she'll have a tooth soon. If she does, she'll beat Julie's record!

I had a wedding on Saturday (very late night) and had to get up in the morning for Laina's baptism! We met all the friends and family at Heritage and Mike, Julie, Auntie, Laina and I all went up to present her to the church. Pastor Bob baptized her just like he did her big sister. After church, everyone came to our house to visit and have some lunch. It was a good time! Julie got to play with two of her gal pals (Allie and Livvy) and Laina got to cuddle with her various relatives. The sun came out after having it rain all morning and it was a lovely day once that happened.

It's great to have Laina baptized and dedicated. Now we just to teach her some stuff. Julie and I do prayers every night now, so hopefully Laina will like doing that someday too.

Julie-isms to note: Sometimes when we get ready for bed (brushing teeth in the bathroom) I will take my medication and vitamins in front of Julie. I don't want her to think she can have them so I tell her they are my "baby pills" which only mommies who have had babies can take. She always asks "You like it?!?" in a funny voice and I tell her no. She also says "You like it?!" sometimes at dinner when we are eating various things.

^Laina was feeling especially cute this week.

^Happy happy Lu!
