Hawaiian Honeymoon: Day Three

Our first excursion was on Friday. I was pretty excited to try snorkeling again. Mike was geeked to do something active. We got up early and found our launch site after some wandering. We were on the boat pretty quick to head out to the Molokini Crater to our first stop. On the way out there, I was getting a little worried. Even though I had taken my motion sickness pills, I was starting to get woozy. Ugh, and sure enough, by the time our  half hour trip to our spot, I was very nauseous. I tried swimming but the waves were pretty big and it just made me more woozy. Thankfully, still enjoyed himself. He took the underwater camera we rented and had some fun snapping fish photos while I tried to feel better on the boat.

Our second stop was supposed to be off the coast of Lana'i but the wind was particularly strong and unsafe so we ended up swinging back around toward Maui and trying a spot there. They did lunch (which I forewent since I was feeling so crummy) and Mike was impressed with the grills. He also took a class at the front of the boat the marine biologist guys did on the ride. Les fun was where I was, there were SOOOO many people puking on the bottom back deck. I stayed there as the crew told us that was the best place when you are seasick. I didnt get sick but I never felt much better. Mike did some more snorkeling at the second stop. I did the slide on the side of the boat once but that was enough for me. The water was pretty cold. Thankfully, we FINALLY headed back to shore. I was so sad it was such a bust but at least Mike had fun.

The only consolation was that when we got back to our resort, we got to go to Basil Tomatoes again for the "early bird special" and got the same meal as the day before for much cheaper. That makes me sound old...

^Finally! All cleaned up and eating, which is something even I can enjoy today. Also Mike has a sunburn.
